Reimagined Hammerjacks Partnering with Three Baltimore Nonprofits

August 16, 2021

BALTIMORE – Hammerjacks today announced direct partnerships with three Baltimore nonprofits: Parks& People Foundation, Skatepark of Baltimore, and Ulman Foundation. Each organization will have an informational booth on site and will be engaging with Hammerjacks’ patrons. In addition, Hammerjacks will make a donation directly to the nonprofits.

“Partnering with local organizations is one of our top priorities,” said Andy Hotchkiss, co-proprietor of Hammerjacks. “They are the heartbeat of our community.”

Co-proprietor Mark Dinerstein continued, “There are many deserving nonprofits in the city. We selected these nonprofits because of their direct impact on the local community. We could not be prouder to call them our partners.”

Parks & People Foundation assembles each day with a unified purpose to continue increasing easy access for every child to find inspirational outdoor spaces and activities within walking distance from their homes. The organization envisions a city where everyone is connected to their community and each other through vibrant parks and green spaces. They work toward this vision by offering outdoor-focused camps, sports programs, internships and summer jobs.

Skatepark of Baltimore is a grassroots and entirely volunteer-based 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to facilitate the construction of public, custom, concrete, destination skateparks in Baltimore to meet the needs of the local skateboarding population, increase and diversify recreational opportunities, and significantly contribute to the safety, health, culture, and vitality of our community. Baltimore has approximately 29,322skaters and demand greatly exceeds both current and planned skatepark space within the city. As such, Skatepark of Baltimore remains dedicated to bringing additional high quality, free skateparks to communities across the city.

Ulman Foundation’s mission statement is, “We change lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer.” They provide services including life impact navigation, housing while undergoing treatment, exercise training and academic scholarships.

Construction is nearing completion on the new era for Hammerjacks in the form of a multipurpose outdoor venue capable of hosting everything from large-scale tailgates, live performances, and private events. Up to 2,500 guests will be able to enjoy the location at 1300 Russell Street, across the street from M&T Bank Stadium. The venue will open in time for the first Ravens home game in 2021.

Those attending events should expect a venue designed to provide fans with a unique environment, complete with bars, tailgate-style refreshments, and restrooms, along with huge screens to watch pregame shows, NFL highlights and Ravens games. Occasional tailgate concerts will bridge the content gap as well as stand-alone live entertainment events, outside of normal tailgate function. Tickets are on sale NOW through Hammerjacks.com.
